Research interests include the study of bacterial ecology, host adaptation and population structure, prevention and control of relevant zoonotic pathogens such as methicillin-resistant staphylococci and antimicrobial stewardship in Veterinary Medicine. Member of the Executive Committee of the ESCMID study group for Veterinary Microbiology (ESGVM), and member of the ESCMID study groups for Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Diseases (ESGS) and the study group for Antimicrobial policies (ESGAP).
